Cash is a handsome two year old Retriever mix from southwest Virginia who once shared a warm home with another dog, curling up each night with the comfort of companionship and the sound of his people nearby. But everything changed when his family had to move and couldn’t take the dogs with them. Now Cash lives alone in a loud, crowded shelter, his days marked by confusion and quiet longing for the life he lost. He waits patiently in front of the kennel gate when visitors walk by, hoping for someone to see him—not just as another dog behind bars, but as a sweet boy just waiting to be loved again.
